Kenny Nichols has continued the family
tradition of producing fine using horses, Mares and Stallions with proven
lines and pedigrees, raised and ridden by the Nichols Family for generations.
Standing Stallions:
Frenchmans Fabulous (Fab) is a proven barrel racing and roping
performance horse. He has a disposition better than most geldings. Fab was
started on barrels by Jordon Peterson (2004 Texas High School Rodeo Barrel
Racing Champion, 2004 Josey Jr. World Champion, and daughter of Kristie
Peterson). He was ridden in 2003 and 2004 by PRCA and multiple NFR
qualifier, Sue Miller (Congratulations to Sue on
ranking in the top 15
all-time money winning competitors in barrel racing and being inducted into
the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame).
See some of Fabs performances Here, and also some of
his performance offspring Here. Check out his babies in his Progeny Lisings Here.
Fab’s pedigree has both Clabber & Driftwood, which are the foundation of the
Nichols horse program. Fab was added to the Nichols Farm to compliment the
program and continue the bloodlines that have been in place for four (4)
generations. Fab is out of the legendary mare Casey’s Charm and Frenchmans
Guy. Casey’s Charm, “the nations number 1 barrel racing matron with close to
$3 million in progeny earnings and sales” was raised by Frances Loiseau and
is featured in
LEGENDS Volume 6. Casey's Charm dam is Casey's Ladylove, which started the Loiseau’s dynasty. Fab is double-bred Casey's Ladylove residing on the top
and bottom of his pedigree.

Triple Drifter KN (Deceased) was raised on the Nichols Farm and is out
of proven performance horses. Straight from the Nichols family who helped
write the Driftwood legend, Drifter and his pedigree stand out from all
other Driftwood studs available today. His pedigree reads like a stroll
through LEGEND’S by Western Horseman Volumes 1-6. He is packed with top
performers and producers throughout his pedigree. Drifter is stamping his
offspring with his unbeatable disposition, smooth and quick starts, speed
and cow. They are now proving themselves in the performance arena.
Drifter has 3 crosses to Driftwood. He is Speedy II top and bottom. (Speedy
II was sired by Driftwood and out of a Lucky Blanton daughter.) Speedy II
was a top performance horse and a Nichols’ favorite siring son of Driftwood.
The third cross of Driftwood comes through Road Runner P who is a full
sister to Dale Smith’s great calf horse Poker Chip Peake and Henny Penny
Peake who was ASHA Stock Horse Champion and PCHJSHA Stock Horse Champion.
Henny Penny also stared in the Walt Disney movie “The Bay Lady.”
Drifter has a solid pedigree of using horses and producing horses on the
track, the AQHA show pen, and the rodeo arena. The bottom side is full of
performers such as World Champion Race horse Clabber and World Champion
3-year-old Race Horse Clabber Juan. Several other AAA sires and dams and ROM
fill up the bottom side. The topside is Generals King. He produced multiple
performance horses and was a full brother to an AQHA Champion. Generals King
kept up the tradition started by his ancestors King and Wimpy. Numerous AQHA
champions and Performance ROM are found in this topside. One of Bill Cody’s
top daughters is part of this outstanding pedigree. Codalena is a leading
dam of AQHA champions.
Mares are one the most important parts of any breeding program.
Without top quality mares, stallions do not have a chance to produce
outstanding offspring. Before entering into the breeding program, mares are
broke and used. All breeding stock must have great dispositions, athletic
ability, explosive quick speed, bone, balance and soundness. They are going
to have the "cow sense" to hunt a barrel or a steer, along with the mind to
stay solid for years. The performance horse is kept in mind with the mares
having good withers, deep cinching, solid hooves, hocks low to the ground
and a good sloping shoulder to go with a horse that knows how to move. Mare
lines include Driftwood, Clabber (Clabbers blood can be found in such
greats as "Scamper, Hawk, Bozo, Dutch, & Hot Shot), Easy Jet, Top Moon, Leo, Sugar Bars, Mr.
Master Bugs, Dash Ta Fame, Dash for Perks, Oklahoma Fuel, Tiny Watch, Tiny
Charger, etc. |
